Snowy days in Laax - Hit the slopes in style

As we have the privilege in Switzerland to be surrounded by mountains I often use the weekends to go snowboarding.  If you follow me on instagram (@bonsoircherieblog) you might have seen some recent stories up in the mountains. My most favorite ski resort is Flims Laax Falera as they have everything to offer. And what I personally love about this resort are the wide and rather flat slopes. You have enough space and it is not very steep. And they have a halfpipe and a snowpark, which I don't use but I love to watch the ones you know how to ride those. And they have a coffeeplace called "No Name" which offers Vegan Paninis to die for.

So we took the chance to take some snowy pictures high up in the mountains some weeks ago and I'd love to share with you the result and with it my favorites if it comes to snowboarding and skiing gear.
And not to forget - I did not put a helmet in the selection - but this is for me one of the most important features if you hit the slopes. It's most fun if you put safety first.

Enjoy some snow!

Take your memories with you wherever you go

I love photos. So much that sometimes I have to hold myself back from taking a picture instead of just enjoying the moment. But afterwards I am still happy to have something to help my brain refresh the memory. So make sure to be present in the moment and first just only enjoy where you are and what you see. And after a while you can allow yourself to capture this moment on your camera to keep it not only in your heart but also on a memory card. I often browse through photos I took during a trip and dream of the wonderful moments we had, or that funny situation which might have followed right after the picture was taken.

When I don't have my camera with me (a canon 5D mark II) I often refrain from taking pictures of nature because with a phone you are mostly not able to catch the light the way  it is. I rely on putting manual settings to make sure I can capture the light and the atmosphere the way it really is appearing to me and how I see it. And not how the automatic settings of the camera are taking it.

As well I bring my camera to take pictures to make sure I've got the right quality to edit them at home. I always use lightroom first and then start to edit in detail on photoshop.
When I got some special landspace or skyline shots I sometimes print them on large canvas for my home. I like the fact to have something you did by yourself as decoration.
And If you travel with someone I personally consider it as a lovely gift to create a travel diary or print some photos you can hand over with a personal note. This is one of the most beautiful memories you can gift someone. To print out pictures or even to produce a canvas with your shot you can easily access suppliers online, for example Colorfotoservice is offering a wide range of products.
Like this you don't only have your pictures on your phone or camera but really in your hands.

How to organize a cozy workspace at home

I often work from home for the blog or for university. For me this means a proper workplace is a must. I can't even start working on something if it is messy around me. I always clean up first and only then I can concentrate. This helps me to focus.
I would like to share some tips and inspiration how to arrange your desk to get into the working mood.
As how to create a workplace in a small space. As we don't have a huge flat everything needs to be very optimized. I started with a very practical table/shelf combination from IKEA. With this combination I have eveything organized in a small space. If you have more space - look at the beautiful table in the selection below you might have seen a similar one on many pinterest boards.

In winter I always put shepskins on my chair to keep it a bit cozier and warm.
In front of me there are some of my favorite graphic posters. To adapt the light according the natural light I've got different lamps - my beloved Empire State Building Lamp for proper light and a lightbulb chain to add some atmosphere.

You can find here some items from IKEA which inspired me for my workspace.
As said the Linnmon Table is so beautiful - I might need to detox my belongings one day and get such a table instead of my current practical one.

Paris Streetstyle in Zurich

Today I am gonna show you my kind of work uniform. My favorite combination is an all black look with some accessories. Here I even added a coat in a bright color - but normally I also keep the outerwear black.
We were shooting next to Markthalle a place were you have a nice offer for lunch. There is sushi, paninis, some bakeries for take away and also a restaurant.
I just love the little colorful lights they've put outside.
Have a happy evening!
