Digital Explorer

We are digital natives - always on the run and always connected.
Nowadays we actively need to plan some time without our phone and disconnect on purpose.
As a blogger and generation Y member I am constantly online and it is frightening how much time gets lost with being on the internet.

We all seek for inspiration on other blogs, instagram accounts and tumblr - sometimes even with the goal to be offline. If you are looking for a place to go on holiday, most of us start with google and travelapps, entering a hashtag to get some first insights of that place. This can be very inspiring but also put a lot of pressure on everyone of us. Because all this beautiful perfect worlds on social media is not real. Magic is either captured in the perfect moment or arranged precisely for the perfect picture.

What a crazy world we live in right now. I am really wondering where all this will lead us to.
For now I just try to disconnect completely from time to time to enjoy some real magic moments out in the nature or with old-fashioned medias like books and movies.
I'm curious about your thoughts on this topic.

Have a happy evening.

Weekend Activities in Zurich

Walking through Zurich with the roomies from bellemelle and karmafoodie is one of the best things I can image to do on a weekend.
So many cute places to go for brunch or a coffeebreak. We went for a place called "Zum Guten Glück" where you can have amazing pancakes and a wide selection of brunch dishes.

As we always were black in winter I decided to add some funny pieces and bring a bit of color in my wardrobe. As long as there is no spring in sight you need to make it up by your own. Grabbing some fruits at this fantastic little market makes wintertime a bit easier too.

Have a good week!

Lisbon Travel Diary - H10 Duque de Loulé

A week ago we spent a lovely weekend in Lisbon.
We were staying at the H10 Duque de Loulé in Lisbon. I already discovered this place a year ago and really wanted to stay there.

When we arrived on Friday evening we had a very warm welcome in the hotel. Everything was perfect - I could not ask for more in a hotel. From the service to the quality of the breakfast and the equipment of the room we were super happy.
The interior design is just amazing. The dining room is more than beautiful with the special floor and the decorative plates.
One of the most astonishing things was the rooftop. Escaping the cold swiss winter and entering this warm sunny rooftop was such a great moment. The view from the hotel rooftop is incredible.
As Lisbon is built on various hills you can enjoy amazing views around every corner when walking through the city.

In the next entry I will share some of my favorite restaurants and spots with you.
The portuguese food is super delicious. I wished I could be hungry all day to try out all the dishes.
We even made it to a little surf session but more in the next entry.

Have a good start into the new week!
